Wedding Venue
The moment we saw Sanctuary Farm, we knew it was the perfect setting for a back country, North Carolina-meets-Texas, good ol’ fashion champagne jam. The property is home to beautiful gardens, a lake, camp sites, stables, a horse, AND a goat. We can’t wait to holler, dance, sing, roast s’mores, boot scoot, frolick, pet a horse, pet a goat, and celebrate with all of you all over every square inch of this magical place.
Please note that this venue is located about 20 minutes outside of Chapel Hill/Carrboro, so you will need to drive, carpool or get an Uber/Lyft to get there.

Air Travel
If flying in from out of town, use Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU). You can easily book an Uber/Lyft or grab a taxi from the airport to take you to where you’re staying in Chapel Hill or Carrboro (25 minutes away) or the Eco-Institute (35 minutes away).

We strongly recommend staying in Chapel Hill or Carrboro to see all that NC has to offer. There are plenty of fun, nearby activities/bars/restaurants so you’ll get the full North Cackalacky experience. If you’re coming in from out of town, make it a weekend getaway! Special Hotel Rates at Hampton Inn & Suites Chapel Hill-Carrboro/Downtown
Looking for a good deal on a hotel in town? We’ve reserved a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn & Suites Chapel Hill-Carrboro/Downtown.
Reservations can be made by contacting the hotel directly at 919-969-6988 and mentioning the group code “AEW” or “ALLEN/ELLIOTT WEDDING” prior to the cutoff date of 3/19/2024 to receive the discounted group rate of $249.00 a night. The rate includes complimentary breakfast and free WiFi.
This hotel will also serve as our shuttle pickup/dropoff location on Saturday 5/4. See below for shuttle pickup and dropoff times.
Hyatt Place Chapel Hill / Southern Village
Another great hotel option in town is the Hyatt Place Chapel Hill/ Southern Village. Rooms are currently $239/night.
Transportation
The Eco-Institute at Sanctuary Farm is located in a rural area away from town – whether you’re staying in Chapel Hill or Carrboro – you will need a car to get there. We want you to enjoy yourselves but also ensure that y’all get home safely, so plan accordingly. Here’s our advice for transportation for the weekend:
Wedding Day Shuttle
There will be a shuttle running from Carrboro to the venue on Saturday 5/4, for anyone who needs it. The pickup location is at the Carrboro Hampton Inn located at 370 E Main St Unit 100, Carrboro, NC 27510. The shuttles will depart promptly at 4:00, 4:15 and 4:40, and 4:55PM. The shuttles will make runs back to Carrboro at the end of the night at 9:30, 9:45, 10:00, and 10:15PM. If you plan to party late with us, please plan to call a late night Uber or Lyft.
Drive/Rent a Car
Whether you’re staying in Chapel Hill or Carrboro, we recommend renting or having a car. This will allow you to get around the city and drive to the venue from town without having to wait for an Uber/Lyft. There is plenty of free parking at the venue! If you’re driving to the, please ensure you have a designated driver, of course.
Uber/Lyft
Rideshare apps are available but wait times can be a little longer than what you may be used to in a bigger city. Make sure to book your car with a little extra time factored in (15-20 minutes extra).
